Moses Maphosho

Mr Moses Maphosho, now managing director of Metsi Chem International (Pty) Ltd, started his career at NCP in 1987 as a laboratory/research assistant after having spent
2 years at Fort Hare University. After 5 years he became laboratory supervisor and later manager of the NCP Mining laboratory. This soon led to involvement in the marketing of NCP’s products in the mining industry. It was during this period that Moses studied and completed his IMM Diploma. 

 Moses was transferred to the NCP Exports division – Water Treatment and was responsible for market development in African countries. With this experience he joined NCP Ultrafloc division as Marketing Services Manager with responsibility for Botswana and Lesotho. 

 After 14 years with NCP, Moses was instrumental in the formation of Metsi Chem (Pty) Ltd in 2001 together with five of NCP’s regional distributors. He served as Managing Director. 

Restructuring in 2005 led to Metsi Chem International (Pty) Ltd where Moses is today the majority shareholder and Managing director.

Peter Koloti

Mr Peter Koloti has a National Diploma in Watercare. Peter started his career with Rand Water in 1994 as a Scientific Assistant. He was soon promoted to Senior Scientific Technician at the Vereeniging plant.

In 1996 Peter joined Sedibeng Water as Process Control Technician at the Balkfontein plant. Further promotion led to the position of Plant Superintendent in the Taung area. While employed by Sedibeng Water, Peter also served as a WISA (National) Council Member and was part of a delegation that travelled to Europe to gain knowledge on water purification.

In 2003 Peter moved to Botshelo Water as Water Treatment Manager with responsibility for ten water treatment plants and several boreholes. Later that year, Peter was recruited by Metsi Chem and was soon offered a minority shareholding. Upon the restructuring of Metsi Chem, Peter became a Director of Metsi Chem International. Recently Peter has been appointed as Technical Director, thus recognising on his considerable practical experience.

Lebogang (Lebo) Lengoasa

Ms Lebogang (Lebo) Lengoasa has a National Higher Diploma in Chemical Engineering. Lebo started her career in 2003 with East Rand Water Care Company (ERWAT). Initially Lebo was a Trainee Operator at Vlakplaats, but was soon promoted to operator level. Further promotion made her the Process Controller. In 2007 Lebo became the Plant Manager at Rondebult and later at Vlakplaats as well.

In 2010 Lebo joined Metsi Chem International as a Technical Services Consultant specialising in waste water. This experience has provided her with expertise in the potable water purification industry as well.

Recently Lebo was offered a shareholding in Metsi Chem International and she now serves as the Marketing Director.

Karin de Jager

Ms Karin de Jager studied accounting in the early 1980’s and achieved her accounting diploma. She started her accounting career in KZN with Ernest & Young which later became Deloitte and Touche.

In due course Karin moved to Johannesburg and continued her career in the private sector. Her initial contact with Metsi Chem in 2001 was on a part time basis preparing the accounts of the company. As the company developed, Karin took up full time employment with Metsi Chem International.

Karin has recently been promoted from Administration Manager to General Manager of MCI and plays a vital role in the operation of the company.
